PROFILE OF BROTHER GILBERT ABLORH LAWSON

The late Gilbert Ablorh Lawson popularly called Brother Lawson was the Founder and first Leader of the church. He was born on November 11, 1908 to one Joseph Lantei Lawson and Madam Mary Adeechoe Lawson.

Brother Lawson successfully completed his elementary education at the Government Boys School, Accra in 1925. In 1927, he passed the Government Competitive Examination for entry into the civil service and was employed as a clerk at the Posts and Telecommunications Engineering Department in Accra.

He voluntarily retired from the civil service in 1958.Brother Lawson was called to eternal rest by his maker on the 16th of August, 1989 at his residence at Mamprobi after successfully accomplishing his mission.


PROFILE OF REV. COMFORT LAWSON

The late Rev. Comfort Lawson was born on  March 17, 1918. Her parents were the late Emmanuel Tetteh Quaynor and Sister Esther Amorkor Amarteifio.

Sister Lawson as she was popularly called, was educated at the Government Girls School and the Methodist Mixed Schools in Accra. After the successful completion of her elementary education-in 1933, she trained as a Pupil Nurse at the Princess Marie Louis Children's Hospital in 1934.

After this, Sister Lawson decided to train as a midwife. As a result, she entered the Midwifery Training School at the Korle Bu Toaching Hospital in 1938. Howovor, in order to prove to her that her partnership with Brother Lawson was a divinely inspired one, the Lord spoke to her through Brother Lawson to abandon the midwifery course and assist the husband fully in this noble work.

Sister Lawson was officially ordained as a minister of the Gospel on 16th November, 1990, even though she had been pastoring as far back as 1954. She succeeded her husband as the first President of the Church.


PROFILE OF APOSTLE  AMAZIA  AFLAH  ARMAH

Apostle Amaziah Aflah Armah was born on the June 8, 1938 to the late James Tawaih Armah and the late Mary Dede Ashie.

He attended and obtained the Middle School Leaving Certificate from Amms Permitted Middle School at Korle Gonno, Accra in 1956.

Apostle A. A. Armah accepted Jesus as his Lord and personal Saviour and was baptized in 1956. In 1958 he was appointed Assistant Pastor and posted to Suhum.

Apostle has been on transfer to a number of places where he took charge of Assemblies. Places where he was transferred to included Suhum, Winneba, Nsawam, Takoradi, Koforidua and Sunyani.

Although he started pastoring in 1958, Apostle Amaziah Armah was not officially ordained into the priesthood until 16th November, 1990.

He succeeded Sister Lawson as the Leader (General Overseer) of the church.
